Structural MIG welder — Grand Traverse County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a structural MIG welder in Grand Traverse County, Michigan. Requirements: • ITI in welder trade or equivalent • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings The role involves: • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time with occasional weekends. Contact us to fix an interview.
