Great opportunity: we are hiring a construction helper in Ohaozara, Ebonyi State. You will be based on a metro and infrastructure project. You should have: • Wear safety helmet, boots and gloves at all times • Able to follow the mason's and supervisor's instructions • Basic knowledge of hand tools like shovel, trowel and breaker Day-to-day duties: • Fix and strip shuttering and formwork for beams and columns • Pour and spread concrete, then compact it with a poker vibrator • Bend and tie rebar with binding wire for slabs and columns • Dig foundation trenches and pits with pick and shovel • Mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
