Argon welder — Orleans County

Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon welder in Orleans County, Vermont. You will set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding. Requirements: • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) Full-time with occasional weekends.
