Vacancy available: we are hiring a trainee butcher in Iberville Parish, Louisiana. Your main tasks: • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts What we are looking for: • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required Full-time with occasional weekends.
