Tig welder — Essex

Immediate opening: we are hiring a tig welder in Essex, England. Day-to-day duties: • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper Requirements: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. £14 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Six days a week, one day off. Contact us to fix an interview.
