Press machine operator — Borough of Wigan

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a press machine operator in Borough of Wigan, England. The job is in a sheet metal stamping unit. You should have: • Basic understanding of metal grades and thicknesses • 1-2 years' experience on power or hydraulic presses • Knowledge of press safety, guarding and lockout-tagout Day to day you will adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings; check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges; top up the press hydraulic oil and grease the slide ways; set up and change stamping dies and tooling; deburr and stack finished components for the next operation.
