Vacancy available: aluminium tig welder (Iowa)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Allamakee County, Iowa. You will work at a stainless steel fabrication shop. Your main tasks: • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle What we are looking for: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Walk-in interviews this week.
