Bricklayer — Pope County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a bricklayer in Pope County, Illinois. You will work on a new-build development. You should have: • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets Your main tasks: • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge Six days a week, one day off. $5,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
