Lifting rigger wanted in Wilson County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Wilson County, Texas. Ideal candidate: • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear Your main tasks: • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
