Panel welder — Fairbanks North Star Borough

Immediate opening: we are hiring a panel welder in Fairbanks North Star Borough, Alaska. What we are looking for: • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings Your main tasks: • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose Full-time, day shift.
