Sample machinist — Stephens County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a sample machinist in Stephens County, Texas. You will be based on a ready-made garment production line. Ideal candidate: • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown Day-to-day duties: • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
