Vacancy available: we are hiring a blocklayer in Oconto County, Wisconsin. The job is on a scaffolded high-rise site. Day-to-day duties: • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses Ideal candidate: • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
