Vacancy available: we are hiring a construction labourer in Leon County, Florida. You will be based on a residential housing site. What we are looking for: • Punctual and ready to do overtime when a pour demands it • Willing to work outdoors in heat, dust and rain • Know how to mix concrete and mortar to the right ratio Your main tasks: • Mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer • Stack and store materials safely to avoid wastage • Clear debris and sweep the slab before the next pour • Break out old walls and concrete with a jackhammer breaker • Erect and dismantle scaffolding and pass materials up • Set out levels with line and plumb under the mason's direction Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. $2,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
