The role involves: • Make curved cuts and holes with an angle grinder and tile drill bits • Check the falls to floor wastes so the water drains away • Spread adhesive with a notched trowel and back-butter the tiles • Screed and prepare uneven floors before tiling • Fit skirting tiles, step nosings and external corner trims • Cut ceramic and porcelain tiles on a manual tile cutter You should have: • Knowledge of waterproofing and substrate preparation • Physically fit for kneeling, bending and lifting tile boxes Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
