Requirements: • Sound knowledge of petrol and diesel engines • Good eyesight and methodical fault-finding • Able to read wiring diagrams and workshop manuals Day to day you will estimate repair costs and order the right parts; replace clutch plates and gearbox components; replace alternators, starter motors and batteries; diagnose engine faults using an OBD-II scan tool; check and top up coolant, brake fluid and power-steering fluid. 5+ years on the tools preferred.
