We are recruiting: sand plant operator (Nebraska)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Saunders County, Nebraska. You will be based on the moulding line. On the job you will handle: • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects You should have: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor 4+ years on the tools preferred. $3,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
