Vertical milling machine operator — Whitley County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a vertical milling machine operator in Whitley County, Kentucky. The job is at a fabrication and machining plant. Ideal candidate: • Able to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges The role involves: • Set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter • Select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors • Hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm • Apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed • Deburr and finish machined edges with files and emery Meals and transport allowance provided.
