Plant operator wanted in Blaenau Gwent

Great opportunity: we are hiring a plant operator in Blaenau Gwent, Wales. You will work at a stone quarry. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and noise • Knowledge of pre-start inspections and basic machine maintenance • Minimum 2-3 years' experience operating earthmoving machinery Your main tasks: • Load trucks with spoil, aggregate and overburden using the bucket • Keep the cab clean and complete the daily machine logbook • Work in coordination with the banksman and ground crew on signals • Keep a safe distance from excavation edges and overhead lines • Top up diesel, inspect hydraulic hoses for leaks and report defects • Level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
