Join our team: foundry worker (Borno State)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a foundry worker in Kwaya Kusar, Borno State. The job is on the moulding line. On a typical shift you will assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
