Pipe TIG welder — Polk County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Polk County, Oregon. You will work on a structural steel site. You should have: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Able to pass a weld test on the spot On the job you will handle: • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush 6+ years on the tools preferred.
