Immediate opening: we are hiring a lift installation engineer in City of Emporia, Virginia. The job is on a high-rise construction site. What we are looking for: • Valid driving licence for site call-outs • ITI in electrical/mechanical or an equivalent trade certificate • Sound electrical competence in three-phase and low-voltage wiring On the job you will handle: • Run load and overload tests with test weights • Carry out planned preventive maintenance and grease the guide shoes • Measure rope tension and check for broken strands • Install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway • Mount and align landing doors, sills and car door operators • Respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers 5+ years on the tools preferred.
