Auto painter — Douglas County

Join our team: we are hiring an auto painter in Douglas County, Wisconsin. The job is in an automotive paint and panel workshop. Day-to-day duties: • Mix two-pack (2K) clear coat with hardener in the correct ratio • Set the spray gun air pressure and fan pattern for an even finish • Wipe down panels with degreaser and a tack cloth before spraying • Bake panels in the spray booth oven to cure the paint • Wet-sand and buff out runs, orange peel and dust nibs • Apply body filler and block-sand to a smooth contour Ideal candidate: • 2+ years' experience in automotive refinishing • Able to mix paint by weight on a scale • Skilled with HVLP and gravity-feed spray guns Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Performance bonus on top of base pay. We offer $19 per hour plus benefits. Contact us to fix an interview.
