Slinger signaller — Calderdale

Join our team: we are hiring a slinger signaller in Calderdale, England. You will be based in a steel fabrication yard. Ideal candidate: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles On the job you will handle: • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio Full-time with occasional weekends. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. £14 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
