MIG welder wanted in Jasper County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a MIG welder in Jasper County, Iowa. You will be based at a steel fabrication workshop. The role involves: • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing What we are looking for: • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • Willing to work shifts and overtime • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
