We are recruiting: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Greater London, England. You will be based at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination On a typical shift you will clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal. At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. Performance bonus on top of base pay. We offer £17 per hour plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
