Sand plant operator wanted in Cardiff

Vacancy available: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Cardiff, Wales. Day-to-day duties: • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects Requirements: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards Rotating shifts.
