Groundsman — Queen Anne's County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a groundsman in Queen Anne's County, Maryland. You will be based on the grounds of a hotel resort. On a typical shift you will cut back tree branches and clear overhanging limbs; check and adjust sprinkler timers and irrigation heads; maintain compost heaps and the potting shed; prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers; apply fertiliser, compost and mulch to beds. You should have: • Able to safely operate mowers, strimmers and hedge trimmers • Understanding of pruning and watering schedules • Pesticide spraying certificate (PA1/PA6) an advantage 2+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Pay around $3,700 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
