Urgent requirement: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Tunica County, Mississippi. The role involves: • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle What we are looking for: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection We offer $3,500 per month plus benefits.
