Requirements: • Able to read grade stakes, drawings and site levels • Good understanding of cut-and-fill and batter slopes Day to day you will spread imported fill in even layers ready for compaction; push-load motor scrapers during bulk earthmoving; cut and fill ground to the levels marked on the grade stakes; carry out pre-start checks on tracks, hydraulics, coolant and engine oil; clear land of trees, stumps and debris before earthworks begin; maintain haul roads and keep drainage falls clear.
