Pipe tig welder — Wood County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Wood County, West Virginia. On a typical shift you will clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances 5+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time, day shift.
