Join our team: stainless steel welder (Michigan)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Benzie County, Michigan. On the job you will handle: • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run Requirements: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through Overtime paid at a premium rate.
