Safety officer wanted in Ouachita Parish

Great opportunity: we are hiring a safety officer in Ouachita Parish, Louisiana. You will be based at an oil and gas facility. On the job you will handle: • Verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates • Check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements • Ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site • Enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Update the risk register and method statements (RAMS) You should have: • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
