Aluminium tig welder — Overton County

Great opportunity: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Overton County, Tennessee. You will work on an industrial construction site. Day-to-day duties: • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal Requirements: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances Full-time with occasional weekends.
