Safety officer — Tompkins County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a safety officer in Tompkins County, New York. On a typical shift you will carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift; deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors; investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports; record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date; audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges. What we are looking for: • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot Full-time, day shift.
