Requirements: • Basic record-keeping and part-counting skills • 1-2 years' experience operating production machinery Day-to-day duties: • Report breakdowns to the maintenance fitter • Top up coolant, lubricant and hydraulic oil levels • Clear jams and remove rejected parts from the line • Monitor gauges and stop the machine when readings drift • Run the first-off piece and check it against the drawing • Set up and start the machine as per the job card 2+ years on the tools preferred.
