Mobile crane operator wanted in Yakutat City and Borough

We are recruiting: we are hiring a mobile crane operator in Yakutat City and Borough, Alaska. The job is in a steel fabrication workshop. On a typical shift you will set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground; fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure; hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control; fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports; park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift; climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging • Able to read load charts and lifting plans 4+ years on the tools preferred. Pay around $19 per hour, based on your experience. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
