Crane rigger — Culpeper County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a crane rigger in Culpeper County, Virginia. You will work at a shipyard. Ideal candidate: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles Day to day you will check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; guide loads through tight openings into their final position; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks. 5+ years on the tools preferred. $190 per day, negotiable for the right hands. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
