Mobile tyre fitter wanted in Pope County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a mobile tyre fitter in Pope County, Illinois. You will work in a commercial truck tyre depot. Day-to-day duties: • Keep the tyre bay tidy and dispose of scrap tyres • Carry out wheel alignment and adjust camber and toe • Check tread depth with a depth gauge and spot uneven wear • Log fitments and advise customers on tyre wear and replacement • Balance wheels on a computerised wheel balancer and fit clip-on weights • Fit new tyres onto rims and seat the bead correctly Requirements: • Basic record-keeping and customer-facing skills • Knowledge of correct torque settings and TPMS resets • Awareness of workshop health and safety Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
