Concrete placer wanted in Putnam County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a concrete placer in Putnam County, New York. You will be based at a ready-mix concrete plant. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years on RCC and concreting works • Willing to wear safety boots, helmet and full PPE • Hands-on with poker vibrators, power floats and concrete mixers Day-to-day duties: • Float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish • Discharge and place concrete from transit mixers and pumps into the forms • Fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule • Erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour • Cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days • Cut control and expansion joints at the correct spacing Rotating shifts.
