Stainless steel welder — City of Bristol

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in City of Bristol, Virginia. The job is on a structural steel site. You should have: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces Day-to-day duties: • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel Part-time with flexible hours.
