Domestic gas engineer • Amherst County, Virginia

Immediate opening: we are hiring a domestic gas engineer in Amherst County, Virginia. You will be based on residential and apartment building sites. On a typical shift you will connect combi boilers, water heaters and gas cookers to the supply; fit flexible connection hoses and bayonet fittings to the appliances; test combustion and flue gases with a flue gas analyser; complete gas safety certificates and label the finished installation; run polyethylene (PE) service pipe and electrofusion-weld the joints. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces • Competent in pipe threading, brazing and PE electrofusion Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
