Immediate opening: we are hiring a gas meter installer in Winn Parish, Louisiana. The role involves: • Lay and route steel and copper gas pipe runs to the appliance points • Locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections • Connect combi boilers, water heaters and gas cookers to the supply • Test combustion and flue gases with a flue gas analyser • Set and adjust regulator outlet pressure with a gauge • Braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces • Driving licence for travel between sites • Sound knowledge of gas safety regulations and pressure testing Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. $240 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
