Gas metal arc welder • Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana

Immediate opening: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana. The role involves: • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness What we are looking for: • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • ITI in welder trade or equivalent Part-time with flexible hours. Meals and transport allowance provided. Walk-in interviews this week.
