Gang bricklayer — Leslie County

Now hiring: we are hiring a gang bricklayer in Leslie County, Kentucky. The job is on a commercial construction site. Day-to-day duties: • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently 3+ years on the tools preferred.
