Reinforcement fitter • Pointe Coupee Parish, Louisiana

Great opportunity: we are hiring a reinforcement fitter in Pointe Coupee Parish, Louisiana. You will work on an infrastructure project such as a metro or flyover. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites On the job you will handle: • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
