Foundry operative — Saint Helena Parish

Join our team: we are hiring a foundry operative in Saint Helena Parish, Louisiana. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards You will maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
