Day to day you will check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching; hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing. Ideal candidate: • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
