Carpenter — Swain County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a carpenter in Swain County, North Carolina. You will be based at a kitchen and furniture manufacturer. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift, kneel and work at height • CSCS card for site-based work an advantage • At least 2 years' hands-on carpentry experience Day-to-day duties: • Erect formwork and shuttering for concrete pours • Assemble bespoke and flat-pack kitchen units and fit worktops • Cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet • Check work for level, plumb and square with a spirit level • Apply edge banding, veneers and laminate to board • Finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain $17 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
