Punch press operator — Arlington County

Now hiring: we are hiring a punch press operator in Arlington County, Virginia. You will work in a metal fabrication workshop. Your main tasks: • Run the press using two-hand controls and foot pedal safely • Watch for cracks, burrs, wrinkles and double-hits on parts • Check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges • Set up and change stamping dies and tooling • Adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings • Top up the press hydraulic oil and grease the slide ways You should have: • Knowledge of press safety, guarding and lockout-tagout • 1-2 years' experience on power or hydraulic presses • Can use vernier calipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges 4+ years on the tools preferred.
