Join our team: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Benzie County, Michigan. You will work at an automotive body and exhaust shop. Requirements: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage Your main tasks: • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
